Placing an Order
The quickest and easiest way to place your regular Cress order is through our website where you'll find all our latest catalogues, product information and pricing. Orders can be conveniently placed at a time that suits you, avoiding delays during peak ordering times and ensuring accuracy of your orders.
Once your order is placed, you'll receive an order confirmation by email and our Customer Services Team will notify you if there are any issues with your order e.g. out of stocks etc.
Existing customers who wish to order online can request a website login by emailing info@thecressco.co.uk. Logins are usually set up same day however please allow up to 2 working days.
Pre-Orders
To ensure the freshest of products and longest shelf dates, many of our chilled products are made specially to order by our producers. Pre-Orders are listed in the Chiller catalogue and identified online with a PO.
All orders for Pre-Orders must be placed by 12pm on Mondays for delivery Thursday onwards. Please Contact Customer Service with specific Pre Order queries.
Minimum Orders
Every customer has set weekly delivery day(s) eg Tues & Thurs or Friday only. The deadline for placing orders is 12pm on the day before your delivery day.
Our typical Minimum order is £175 however this can vary depending on your location (please refer to our Delivery Map). If you have multiple delivery days, please select which day you would like the order to arrive when placing an order.
For orders below £175, an automatic carriage charge of £25 will be applied. If you have a larger minimum order value for delivery and your order does not meet this, our Customer Service Team will contact you with the delivery charge.
Types of Orders
All orders are split into separate chilled and ambient orders for easier checking of deliveries with your driver.
If you wish your chilled and ambient products to be delivered on different days you should order these separately online. If ordering by phone or email please clearly state this at time of ordering. Both orders must meet minimum order values for delivery.
Payments
We are pleased to accept payment by the following methods -
Website
Online payments accepted for orders placed via the website.
Bank Transfer (BACS)
Our bank details are noted at the bottom of invoices but please contact the office to confirm details if required.
Payment Terms
We rely on prompt payment from our customers to ensure our suppliers are paid on time. Many of our suppliers are small family businesses and depend on our prompt payment to pay their suppliers and staff.
Our standard credit terms are 'payment to be received on/by the end of the month following'. For example all January invoices must be paid by/on the last day of February.
Customers are unable to receive/place orders if they have overdue invoices.
All bank charges and legal fees incurred, such as unpaid cheques or demands for payments, will be passed on to the customer in full. Frequent breaches of our credit terms will result in credit facilities being removed.
Credits and Returns
Deliveries must be checked at the time of delivery.
Shortages and damages must be marked on the delivery paperwork and returned with our drivers at the point of delivery.
All other issues must be raised within 48 hours of delivery.
Our drivers will not take any product returns from a previous order unless the issue has been raised with office and they or you are in possession of a returns note.
We cannot accept any returns, except in relation to quality issues, that are not in their original packaging.
Complete the online Credit / Collection Request From and our Credits Team will process this for you.
UK Deliveries
Cress deliveries are made from our warehouse and distribution depots located across the UK:
- Dunfermline
- Telford
- Milton Keynes
- Maltby
- Bristol
Own Vans
We deliver to the majority of mainland UK postcodes using our own fleet of dual control vans. The typical minimum order value is £175. Please contact our Customer Service Team for more information about deliveries in your area.
Deliveries are scheduled Tues-Fri 7:30am-5:30pm however this can be subject to change eg due to traffic, severe weather etc.
Customers must tell us about any times or days they're unable to receive a delivery and we will do our best to accommodate these.
Specific delivery times cannot be provided.
Delivery Days
Every Cress customer has set delivery day(s). Typically, an order placed before 12pm on day 1 will be delivered on day 2, depending on your set order day.

3rd Party
For customers located in areas out-with delivery by our own vans, we send deliveries via a third-party haulage company. These orders are delivered free of carriage charges as long as the minimum value is met. Please contact our Customer Service Team for specific minimum orders by postcode.
Normally, we are unable to deliver chilled lines to customers who only receive deliveries through a third party; However, in some cases we can accommodate this. Please speak to your Account Manager.
Checking Deliveries
Deliveries must be checked at the time of delivery. Shortages and damages must be marked on the delivery paperwork and returned with our drivers at the point of delivery.
All other issues must be raised with Customer Services within 48 hours of delivery.
