Based in Dunfermline, Fife we distribute ambient and chilled speciality, artisan foods across the UK using our own fleet of dual temperature (ambient/chilled) vehicles. We are proud to supply a range of independent retail customers including delis, cafés, farm shops, garden centres, butchers, fishmongers, bars and hotels.

The company started in 2004 with a small lock up and a second-hand van working with five or six Scottish fine food manufacturers who were looking for better distribution throughout Scotland. As the business, grew, we opened additional depots in Milton Keynes, Maltby, Telford and Bristol and now offer national distribution.

The Cress Co are proud to work with hundreds of fine food manufacturers distributing thousands of different products. We are members of the Guild of Fine Foods and Farma and are keen to support both independent manufacturers and retailers. We pride ourselves on looking after our customers and ensuring we listen and adapt to their needs because without them we wouldn't be here.

We believe giving back is just as important as delivering great food. Each year, we’re proud to support charities and community organisations across the UK, with a special focus on our local area in Fife.

Our chosen charities for 2025–2026 are:

The Sunshine Kitchen (Fife) – a community project supporting young adults with additional needs

Through our 2026 Wall Planner fundraiser, we’ve already raised over £3,000 for each charity, with every generous donation from our suppliers matched pound-for-pound by Cress Co.

We also provide ongoing support to food-based charities, donating quality stock that can’t be sold (such as items close to expiry or with minor packaging damage). Current beneficiaries include:
